International Flight from Houston TX, to Auckland, NZ

A few months ago, I decided to take a large step outside of my comfort zone and enroll in an education abroad program in New Zealand. To say the least, I was excited, nervous, and petrified all at the same time! This would be my very first time leaving the United States as well as my first time on an airplane since I was five years old.
The National Expedition and Internship Program, through USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium), was at Massey University and focused entirely on agriculture and environmental studies relevant in New Zealand. For the first two weeks, myself alongside 21 other students from around the country will be traveling up the South and North Islands completing case studies focused on high-ground pastoral farming, viticulture production

and processing, and wool production farms. Then, for an additional four weeks, I will be placed in an agricultural or environmental related internship that will assist me in determining my plans for my
future career.
